Electronic delivery consent
Updated September 21, 2026
This explains what you agree to when you choose to receive documents electronically, under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and the equivalent state laws. Read it before you consent. Consenting is your choice.
What electronic delivery covers
If you consent, we and, where they accept it, the insurer may provide the following by posting them to your account or sending them to the email address you give us, instead of on paper:
- the application you submit and the answers recorded in it
- required disclosures, authorisations, and notices, including privacy notices
- the policy, its schedule, riders, endorsements, and amendments
- billing statements, payment receipts, and notices about a missed or failed payment
- notices about changes to a policy, a lapse, a reinstatement, or a cancellation
- servicing correspondence about your application or policy
Your consent applies to all of these for as long as you have a relationship with us, not to a single document, unless you tell us otherwise. Some notices must be sent on paper by law regardless of your consent, and we will send those on paper.
An electronic signature you apply, and a record we keep electronically, have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature and a paper record.
Getting a paper copy
You may ask for a paper copy of any document we have provided electronically, at any time, and we will not charge you for it. Email support@thaloslife.com with the document and the address to send it to. Asking for a paper copy does not by itself withdraw your consent.
Withdrawing your consent
You may withdraw this consent at any time, at no cost, by emailing support@thaloslife.com with the word "paper" and the policy or application it concerns. We will confirm and begin sending documents to your postal address.
Withdrawal takes effect once we have processed it, which may take a few business days; documents already sent electronically before then remain validly delivered. Withdrawing does not invalidate an application you already submitted, a policy already issued, or a signature you already applied. If you withdraw before an application is complete, we may not be able to finish it online and may ask you to continue on paper, which usually takes longer.
What you need to receive documents electronically
Before consenting, please confirm you have all of the following:
- a device with internet access and a current version of a common browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge
- a working email account able to receive mail from us, with any filter set to allow it
- software able to open PDF documents
- the ability to print or save the documents you receive, and enough storage to keep them
Keep your own copies. Documents may be available in your account for a limited time, and access ends if your relationship with us ends. If we change these requirements in a way that creates a material risk you could not access or retain your documents, we will tell you and give you the chance to withdraw without charge.
If you can read this page and open a PDF we send you, you can receive documents electronically.
Keeping your email address current
Tell us promptly if your email address changes, by emailing support@thaloslife.com. A document sent to the address we hold is treated as delivered. If email to you repeatedly fails, we may switch you to paper and may need a current postal address to do it.
Delivery of a notice about a missed payment matters more than most mail. An out-of-date email address is a common reason a policy lapses without the owner realising.
For Direct 130 agents
The same consent covers agent contracting documents, carrier appointment paperwork, commission statements, notices about your contract, and tax forms where electronic delivery is permitted and separately consented to. Tax forms have their own consent requirements, which will be presented separately.
This page records what the consent says. Your agreement to it, the date, and the version shown to you are recorded with your application.
